Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods Brings the Heat with Acclaim Lighting’s Flex One Interior Series
Elegant linear lighting adds drama and detail to Gordon Ramsay’s high-concept restaurant experience
Inside the heart of Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen delivers more than just a meal, it delivers a performance. Inspired by the globally renowned television show, the space channels a blend of bold theatrics and refined hospitality. To elevate this immersive dining experience, the design team turned to Acclaim Lighting’s Flex One Interior series to create a seamless fusion of form and function through light.
From the moment guests enter, lighting plays a defining role in shaping the atmosphere. Clean lines of illumination trace the custom ceiling coves, highlight the vibrant textures of the space, and provide a sense of movement and energy. To achieve this, two variations of Acclaim’s linear LED system, Flex One HO Interior and Flex One SO Interior, were integrated across multiple layers of the design.
The high-output Flex One HO Interior was used in areas that demanded bolder illumination, such as the expansive ceiling features that crown the main dining room and bar. This ensured broad, even coverage without hotspots while accentuating architectural depth and warmth. Meanwhile, the Flex One SO Interior, a standard-output version, was employed in more intimate zones such as under bar edges, around perimeter seating, and in the private dining room, where a softer glow added contrast and dimension.
Beyond their visual impact, both Flex One models offered vital performance features: tight bend radii for navigating architectural curves, high CRI for accurate color rendering of materials and dishes, and sleek, minimal profiles that blend effortlessly into the design. The result is a restaurant where lighting doesn’t just fill the space; it defines it.
The bar shelves shimmer under perfectly diffused uplight. Overhead, golden glows carve out the ceiling’s geometry. Along the chef’s counter and kitchen pass-throughs, lighting transitions with purpose, guiding the guest’s gaze across flame-textured mosaic walls and open cooking stations.
At Hell’s Kitchen, drama is always on the menu, and with Acclaim Lighting’s Flex One series, the space delivers on that promise. The lighting doesn’t just support the architecture; it heightens the emotion, builds the scene, and helps bring Gordon Ramsay’s culinary vision to life.
