Lighting with Purpose: How Acclaim Lighting Helped Shape the Consilio Experience Center in Miami
In Miami’s Design District, the newly opened Consilio Experience Center is a reflection of the company’s mission to combine legal technology, client-focused service, and thoughtful design into a single immersive environment. As a global leader in legal software and eDiscovery solutions, Consilio set out to build a space where visitors could engage with its tools in a hands-on, customized way. The center is more than a showroom—it is a place where clients explore solutions to real-world legal challenges in a setting designed to foster clarity and innovation.
To bring this vision to life, Consilio partnered with Loop Lighting, a lighting design firm known for its clean, architectural approach. The team needed a lighting solution that could reinforce the center's sleek design, function seamlessly within the architecture, and create an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and precise.
The centerpiece of the lighting strategy was Flex Tube SC Gen 2 from Acclaim Lighting. This flexible, single-color LED strip is designed to deliver smooth, dot-free illumination across a range of applications. Unlike conventional strip lighting, Flex Tube SC is housed in a durable silicone body that allows it to bend easily while maintaining a consistent beam of light. This made it ideal for the curved features, recessed details, and clean lines that define the Experience Center.
Loop Lighting used the Flex Tube SC to accentuate architectural elements throughout the space. Light was installed in coves, around millwork, and along transitions between materials. These subtle design choices added visual structure without clutter, allowing the room to breathe and draw attention to key areas without distraction.
The lighting also served a functional role. It helped define different zones of the Experience Center, creating a sense of movement and orientation as clients navigated from one area to another. The result is a space that feels cohesive and intuitive, with lighting that responds to its surroundings instead of overpowering them.
Energy performance was also an important factor in the selection. Flex Tube SC Gen 2 offers high efficacy while consuming only 3.65 watts per linear foot. Its robust design is rated for long-term use in demanding environments, which ensures both reliability and visual consistency over time.
The finished Experience Center is both modern and understated. It reflects the clarity and precision that Consilio brings to its legal solutions while offering a space where clients can engage, learn, and collaborate.
